“Nourishing Body and Soul”

 Program for Healing from Disordered Eating

 

 

In this 8-week series we will address health issues related to disordered eating and access body-based wisdom to gain insight, create healing and experience personal transformation.

 

The series is composed of 8 classes, two hours in length, covering the essential elements of health in body, mind and spirit. We will explore compassionate and creative approaches to stress reduction, personal renewal and healing. You will gain the knowledge you need to develop a health conscious lifestyle and a sustainable health plan. You will take home with you a nutritional guideline, exercise basics, a fundamental yoga routine, meditation and relaxation basics, a model for change, a working purpose statement and an action plan based on effective strategy and structure.

 

This program offers the opportunity to develop a firm commitment to self-care and optimal health practices.

 

While being flexible to meet individual needs, we will follow the basic outline described below:

  2. Week Two: Vitality and Movement/Exercise

  3. Week Three: Balance/Stress Reduction

  4. Week Four: Awareness/Body Scan Technique

  5. Week Five: Mindfulness/Meditation Basics

  6. Week Six: Connectedness/Yoga Basics

  7. Week Seven: Effective Choice/Emotional Intelligence

  8. Week Eight: Tranquility/Relaxation Response
