Meditation can be thought of as the art of awakening.
Through the mastery of this art, it is possible to learn new
ways to develop greater calmness, clarity and insight in
facing and embracing all of life’s experiences.
Mindfulness is now being
recognized as a highly cost effective choice for
comprehensive health care as well as a very powerful tool in
dealing with stress and chronic pain. Thirty years of
published research indicate the majority of people who
complete a Stress Reduction Program report:

Simple Serenity Stress
Reduction Program is an 8-week course taken in addition to
any medical treatment being received. It is designed to
complement any challenging life situation from everyday
stress to serious medical diagnoses. While most 8-week
courses are taught in a hospital setting, this offering is
for individuals or small groups who prefer a more private
setting. In this program, there is time for individual
concerns and an opportunity to design a personalized stress
reduction approach to one’s life situation.
This eight week, 11
session program is offered four times per year: Fall,
Winter, Spring, and Summer. Assessment interviews and
enrollment begin two months prior to each teaching cycle.
