Mindfulness is a practice that encourages the cultivation of greater awareness. This model, relevant to people with a wide range of medical conditions and life situations, compliments traditional medicine, psychiatry, psychotherapy and other treatments. Extensive research conducted over the past 25 years shows remarkable symptom reduction in both physical and psychological conditions.

 

In order for mindfulness to be most effective, it must be put into daily practice. This is a challenging process and requires time to absorb the fundamental skills and experience their applications in daily life. The instructor is accomplished and skilled in creating a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment. She brings 30 years experience in nursing and behavioral medicine and holds certifications in advanced yoga, mat pilates, neuro-linguistics and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction. She is the founder and president of Simple Serenity, a health consulting company. She has taught Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction for 20 years.
