The following offerings are a series of integrative health presentations reflecting what we believe to be the most important and fundamental areas of health. The topics address stress reduction, wellness basics and disease prevention. The material is presented by the founder and owner of Simple Serenity, a whole systems-based health consulting company. Our services are tailored to meet the needs of health care clients as well as health care professionals and to empower individuals to adopt positive lifestyle changes.

 

While the length of time of each workshop or speaking engagement may be designed to meet the needs of the organization, the average time for most of the presentations is 3-4 hours. The formats may vary from a formal presentation to an interactive workshop experience. If a more in-depth presentation is desired, a full day workshop is available for each topic.

Has the World of Yoga Taken Off Without You? Experience Yoga Basics in plain English, taught by a certified instructor. Learn 10 gentle postures that are guaranteed to enhance:

Experience a foundational class, designed to build a solid beginning to a personal yoga practice. We will move slowly and with the breath, establishing a familiar sequence of poses encouraging a pliant body and adaptable mind. Fit from Within: The Art and Science of Weight Loss

 

If it were about dieting, we’d all be thin. Enter the world of fitness without calorie plans or difficult workouts. Instead, establish nutritional excellence and exercise basics. Make empowered and wise choices to create exuberant health. Explore the ‘Science’ of weight loss by integrating healthy habits of daily living as well as the ‘Art’ of weight loss as we discuss self esteem, purpose and vision.  Learn from the founder of Simple Serenity how she has kept over 200 pounds off for over 25 years. Rediscover yourself as you lose excess weight and find vitality and wholeness.

 

 

Nourishing Body and Soul: Healing from Disordered Eating

 

Make room for recovery by embracing wholeness and health. Addressing the essential elements of health in body, mind and spirit, we will explore compassionate and creative approaches to stress reduction, self esteem, emotional intelligence, relaxation and renewal.

You will take home with you a nutritional guideline, exercise basics, meditation and relaxation skills and a model for change.

 

This introductory workshop, taught by a professional who has also recovered, offers the opportunity to develop a firm commitment to self-care and optimal health practices.

 

 

Yoga/PilatesFit: The Mind-Body Experience

 

Experience integrating the breath with:

  • Movement

  • Awareness and alignment

  • Strength

  • Flexibility

Blending traditional Yoga postures with Pilates creates a dynamic range of motion, balance and core physical strength. We will establish a “flow sequence” of Yoga and Pilates poses designed for flexibility of the spine, strengthening of the core muscles and expansion of the breath
